Types of Institutes in Singapore:
    Private Institutes:

    Education in Singapore is considered an affordable choice for international students. Most of the Private Institutes in Singapore offer an opportunity to attain a degree awarded by popular universities from countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

    To pursue a Master degree in private institutes which lasts from 12 -16 months, GMAT, GRE scores are not compulsory.

    To pursue a Bachelor degree in private institutes which lasts from 3-4 years, SAT, TOEFL, and IELTS are not compulsory.

    Public Universities:

    Public Universities offer three main types of graduate degrees named Doctoral (Ph.D.), Master’S and the Graduate Diploma.

    To pursue a Doctoral (Ph.D.) in Public Universities which lasts from 3 -5 years, students must complete their master’s degree. All students need to submit a research proposal and appear for GRE/GMAT & TOEFL/IELTS exams to obtain admissions.

    To pursue a Master degree in Public Universities which lasts from 1 -2 years, students must have at least a bachelor’s degree.  Students need to appear for IELTS and TOEFL in case their medium of instruction for the bachelor’s degree is not English.

    A Graduate Diploma in Public Universities which lasts for 1 year is offered to students as a terminal qualification and provides some degree of professional training in a specific role.

    Government Polytechnics:

    Polytechnics institutes offer courses such as Engineering, Business Studies, Mass Communication, Design, Optometry, Marine Engineering, Nautical Studies, Nursing, Early Childhood Education, Film, and Info-Communications. It takes 3 years to complete a full-time diploma course and students need to complete class 10 or 12 in India to obtain admission in desired courses.
